Goal: The Safety Validation Engineer will be responsible for routinely inspecting the equipment to ensure it is being operated safely, as well as conducting regular analysis and proposing necessary modifications to improve the overall safety of the facility.
Responsibilities:
· Perform all equipment validation in support of group Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policy
· Provide safety risk assessments and administer technical aspects of the site change control system
· Develop procedures and designs to help create a safe working environment
· Identify and measure potential hazards such as dangers involved in handling toxic chemicals
· Recommend appropriate loss prevention measures according to their probability of harm and potential damage
· Anticipate, recognize and evaluate hazardous conditions and develop hazard control methods
· Ensure machinery and equipment complies with appropriate EHS regulations
· Examine and test machinery and equipment such as lifting devices, machine guards etc.
· Ensure that all standard safety procedures such as the use of personal protective equipment and storage of hazardous materials are used according to regulations.
Requirements:
· BS in Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or equivalent required
· 3-5 years related engineering experience required
· Previous knowledge and expertise in Safety regulations
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to work in fast paced manufacturing environment
· Previous experience managing multiple projects at once.

Position requires a B.S. degree in Chemical/Environmental or related Engineering discipline and 2-6 years experience.
