Minutes from ASSE/ACHMM-NJ General Membership Meeting @ Rutgers Club  on October 28, 2003

Executive Board Members Present:- Scott Sherman, Rich Cestone, Scott Butterfield, , Barry Weissman, Alain Fortier, Mike Mandracchia, Dan Levine.

 

Executive Board Members Absent- None

 

6:00 PM- 7:00PM- Networking and Buffet Dinner

 

7:15PM- President Mike Mandracchia called the meeting to order. Personal introductions followed.

 

Old Business

 

Secretary Report(SS)-  Minutes from the August   meeting were approved.

Treasureršs Report(RC) - Balance of  $28,583.51  in account was reported. 

Motion- Al Arnofsky

Seconded- Nazer Ali

 

Logo Contest(MM)- the final vote for the logo contest will be at the December holiday meeting. Mike encouraged people to check out the logos on the website.

 

Cleanup Star Program(MM)- Mike discussed the program. 450 people have signed up so far for the class.

 

 

New Business

 

Combined National and Local Dues(MM)-Mike announced that the chapter dues and the Academy dues will be combined into one bill for next year to the membership.

 

NJDEP CHMM Review Course(MM)-the scheduled date for next year's course will begin in May, 2004.

 

Announcement for 2004 EB  Officers(MM)- Mike announced the slate for the 2004 as:

President- Scott Butterfield

Vice President Elect- Jim Ross

Secretary- Scott Sherman

Treasurer- Rich Cestone

Trustee- Dan Levine

 

Announcement for new Trustee Position(MM)- Mike announced if anyone was interested in the new Trustee position.  This would be possible with the pending change in Article 3 of  the bylaws.  Mike also encouraged everyone to look at the change on the webpage.

 

ASSE President Joe Piccolo talked briefly about some upcoming events:

Nov 1st- Special Olympics Bike Ride at ETS in Princeton, NJ

Nov 5th- ICS Seminar Conference

 

Future Meetings

Nov 25th-EB Meeting at the Rutgers Club

Dec. 9th- Holiday Meeting at Bridgewater Manor with Assistant Commissioner of  NJDEP, Evan Van Hoff, speaking.

 

Mike mentioned at this time that the CHMM Reference Books were on sale for $65.00

 

7:35PM(DG)- Dave Goett introduced the speaker for the night, Bob West.

His presentation was entitled "Case Histories, The Effects of 911, A Consultants Perspective".
