Minutes from ACHMM-NJ Meeting@ NJIT on June 28, 2005

Executive Board Members Absent- Dan Levine, Nazer Ali, Diane Pupa, Cheryl Polios

6:00- 6:45 PM    Networking and Buffet Dinner

6:45PM - Barry called the meeting to order.  Barry mentioned about the NJ Business and Industry conference that he attended. In addition, Barry thanked NJIT for hosting our meeting and introduced Ron Rubin from NJIT who spoke to us briefly about training programs at NJIT.  

Committees

Programs(DG)-Dave introduced Dave Quinn as tonights speaker on “Environmental Insurance”. This  was an overview of the insurance industry with respect to environmental concerns.  A question and answer session followed.

Barry made an announcement that the ASSE conference in Seattle needs speakers for next year’s conference.

Dave talked briefly about the August meeting which is going to be held at Bowman’s Tower Flower Preserve in New Hope, PA. on August 23 rd . This is a joint meeting with the Phila. Chapter. The topic for this meeting will be “Brownfields Update” by Steve Kehayes of NJDEP.

Barry mentioned that to request assistance to the National Conference you need to get your request in by July 26 th to the EB. An email would be sufficient.

Dates for upcoming meetings were discussed:

 July 26 th -EB meeting at PLIVA in East Hanover

October- Wyeth in Madison, NJ with ASSE-NJ

Dec. 6 th - Holiday meeting possibly at Old Mill Inn

8:05PM- Barry adjourned the meeting.
