Minutes from ACHMM-NJ Holiday Meeting@ Olde Mill Inn on December 6, 2005

Executive Board Members Present- Scott Butterfield, ,Rich Cestone, Barry Weissman, Scott Sherman, Cheryl Polios, Diane Pupa, Dan Levine

Executive Board Members Absent- Charles Stebbins

5:30PM- 7:00PM    Networking

7:00PM - Barry  welcomed everyone to the meeting and wished them a happy and healthy holiday season.

Buffet dinner followed.

8:00PM - Barry reopened the meeting. Personal introductions followed.

Committees

Treasurer Report (RC)-Rich reported a balance of $42,826.00

We currently have a membership of 185 and we had a $10,000 net increase which was a result of the NJDEP course.

Motion was made to accept the treasurers report.

Jim Ross Scholarship (DL)-Dan talked about the new scholarship being offered in 2006. It will be posted on the website shortly.

Programs (DG)- Dave talked about the possibility of a Bio/ Health and Safety topic for a March general membership meeting next year. It will be a panel discussion type format.

Regulatory Affairs (BW)- Barry talked about the regulatory post info which is accessible on the website.

New Business

Election Slate(NA)- Nazer Ali announced the election slate for 2006:

            President-Nazer Ali

            Vice President/President Elect-Cheryl Polios

            Secretary-Scott Sherman

            Treasurer-Rich Cestone

            Trustee-Dan Levine

            Trustee-Zvi Blank

A motion was made to accept the announced election slate

            M-Merwin Kincade

            S-Bob West

            All in favor. None abstained.

Secretary Scott Sherman cast a vote for the announced election slate as well.

All new officers were sworn into office.

New President Nazer Ali announced that there is an opening for a trustee for a term of one year through 2006.  This was Cheryl’s old position.  Anyone interested should contact Nazer or Cheryl.

There was raffle for textbooks and mugs plus all attendees received a ACHMM golf shirt.
